The exhibition Life / Still Life / Memorabilia shows a collection of expressively designed oil paintings by the Berlin painter JEHAN that has been created in recent years. His pictures show the vulnerability of the creature to the point of disaster. He paints to reflect what he has seen, what he has experienced. In this sense, his pictures are reminiscences. For JEHAN, painting also always means: “painting anew” – in its own way, sometimes unpleasant, massive and abstracting to the limit of the representational.
